Self healing is a process that should be a part of our daily lives. It is a way to keep ourselves balanced. Living is full of joy, but not free of challenges. These challenges enrich our lives and help us discover who we are and what gifts we have within us. We all have the gift to heal. To be balanced we must consider all levels of ourselves:physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
What how do you heal?
There are many ways I take to assist in my self healing. I have found that monitoring my self talk and thoughts is the key to find what is going on. LISTEN to yourself. What is your mind saying? A thought is a creation of our present awareness, by taking into account all external and internal stimuli. Thoughts move using chemo -electrical impulses. This energy can be measured as brainwave frequencies. A negative thought changes the frequency, hence causing negative responses, such as:
v Physical illness and disease- Louise Hay has written many books on this, where persistent negative thoughts and feelings can cause cancer.
v Negative feelings- anger, frustration, anxiety, depression and irritability.
v Decreases your energy or vitality.
v Limit your possibilities and flow of abundance.
v You attract negative people and influences.
Taking responsibility for your own health, your own well being can be achieved step by step. It is a tough journey especially when you have been conditioned to put others first. You need to look at all aspects of yourself, then just start with something manageable and easy to feel the sense of change and feel great about yourself. The two words that are most in this journey is ME and BALANCE.
Things that can be done to achieve total well being and balance are:
Eat healthy meals, especially vegetables, fruits, complex carbohydrates and small amount of protein, throughout the day. Reduce the quantities of simple sugars, fat, caffeine and alcohol.
Exercise daily, which is the hardest part of me......put it is an attitude change. Twenty minutes of a workout is needed and then life looks clearer and brighter.
Sleep aiming for 8 hours and try to get to bed around the same time and get up at the same time.
Meditate or pray daily or sit quietly away from all and just focus on deep breathing (aim for at least 10 minutes) or even take a long hot bath. Call upon Archangel Raphael to help you and guide you with healing all aspects of you. Chakra cleansing and balancing is fantastic to feel together.
Say affirmations to help to change negative thinking and attitude such as “I am the most valuable thing that I have in my life.”
Schedule in something that you love to do at least once a week, such as listening to inspirational lectures, antique shopping, spending time in a bookstore, people watching while sitting in a cafe or lying on the grass soaking up the sun.
Be in the company of people who make you laugh, give great hugs, makes you feel great about you, inspire you and share an interest you can talk or explore about.
Create a brag file/ scrapbook/box. List all the wonderful qualities. Place in there anything you receive from others as their way to thank you; photographs of times you did something great or more important you felt great about yourself ; and piece for work or writing you are proud of. Look at it when you feel a little down about yourself.....remind myself how amazing I really am.
Learn something new every day.
Smile and laugh.....even if you have to force it at first.
Understand and accept your limits, and feel it is alright to say “no”. Learn to delegate to family members house chores and relax my standards.
Schedule in family time together, cooking and eating together, or going out to explore the world.
We need to remember that healing involves change:
Ø Change of thought, of emotion , of feeling
Ø A knowingness of what to change and a desire to change
Ø A knowingness of how to respond to change
Ø A belief or expectation to be healed.
once again I find your writing and ideas inspiring....lovely ideas to pursue.
