The Sun ( and a few other planets) is currently in Taurus. Are you feeling the effects, too? It is such a sensational time and bordering on sinful. Cooking, eating and drinking is such a pleasure. Food shopping is delightful with all of spring and summer fruits and vegetables appearing at the markets. Lamb is at its best. My potted herbs are ready for picking.
I have been inspired to cook from my heritage again. Watching the "Two Greedy Italians" on the BBC and then having the opportunity to meet and have lunch with Antonio Carluccio. Cooking from simply and as organically as possible, brings out the best in all the ingredients one uses. Like many people who love to cook it is our way to say "I love you" to family as well as yourself.
The last couple of weeks I have drunk fantastic wines....Bertani Due Uve Bianco, Moscato D'Asti and Presecco Treviso.
Beautifully scented flowers are blooming everywhere. Wildflowers are colouring the walkways. One of my favourite places to read in on the grass in the sun and breathing in late Spring.
Life is too be enjoyed. Love the simple things. Love your own life.
