What is my mental gearshift?

My mental gearshift is GRATITUDE.

I have always been one to give thanks to  God.  As a young girl walking to school through the streets examining the beauty around me. The perfect daisy swaying in the slight breeze and the brilliance of yellow as the sun shone each petal. The way my limbs could carry me to my destination. The opportunity to be educated. Every moment there is much to be grateful for.

It is very normal to feel blue. But it is up to you to change that feeling before it takes you to very dark places. It takes practise and persisence. When I start sliding to those dark places I think of five things I am gratiful for. If you can't think of any say thanks for all the things in your life that does not need healing. Give thanks for the bed you sleep in, for the food you eat, for the availability of clean drinking water, for your ability to go to the tiolet and so on. Get in the habit to do this daily...before you get up in the morning or before you sleep at night.

Gratitude is the key to inner peace, joy and love.

Here are my five things I am gratiful for today:
  1. healthy immune system
  2. my husband's sense of humour
  3. the wonderful conversation I had with my kids on the way to school
  4. great pilates instructor
  5. the beautiful friend I have, who sent me two very cute kangaroos
