- making breakfast for you
- writing a love letter (come on it has to be more than a page double sided long)
- write a love poem ( and it does not start with "Roses are red...")
- washing your car and checking for oil and water
- whispering sweet nothings in your ear (not a wet finger...yes it is so gross!)
Ophelia in Hamlet (1600-1601):
To-morrow is Saint Valentine's day,
All in the morning betime,
And I a maid at your window,
To be your Valentine.
Then up he rose, and donn'd his clothes,
And dupp'd the chamber-door;
Let in the maid, that out a maid
Never departed more.
—William Shakespeare , Hamlet, Act IV, Scene 5
Lately I have rediscovered that gratitude is awareness. My pace has slowed down considerably. I have time to allow myself to open my senses to the world around me. This use to occur if I was on holidays, a change my weekend routine or going for a walk in nature parkland, river or beach. {I do miss my river walks with one of my close friends.} I am very lucky and thankful that this happens more often now. Being able to open my senses to the world around me has an impact on how I feel and how I choose to live the next moment of my life.
I love my life, I love my family, I love my friends and I love me. Happy Valentine's Day!!!!
